Terms of Service
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of Bitcoin Panic at bitcoinpanic.com (the “Site”), which is published independently. By using the Site you agree to these terms.
2. Use of the site
You agree to use the Site lawfully and not to misuse it, attempt to disrupt it, or copy its content, design or code without permission. All content, branding and code on the Site are protected and remain the property of their respective owners.
3. What this site is
Bitcoin Panic publishes information about the Bitcoin price and its history: a live price indication, a “panic meter” that puts the latest move in the context of past falls, a record of the occasions on which Bitcoin fell 50% or more, and descriptions of exchanges and brokers. That is the whole service. There is nothing to buy here and no account to open.
4. Nothing here is financial advice
Nothing on this Site is financial, investment, tax or legal advice. We are not authorised to advise anyone, we know nothing about your personal circumstances, and nothing published here is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any asset. If you want advice, get it from someone regulated to give it.
Cryptocurrency is volatile and you can lose money, including all of it. Past price movements described on this Site say nothing about future ones.
Disclaimer: CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage.
5. Affiliate links
Some links on this Site are referral links to exchanges and brokers, and we may earn a commission if you open an account through one. That relationship doesn’t change the descriptions we publish, and it isn’t an endorsement or a recommendation. Those companies are independent of us: their terms, their fees and their regulatory status are theirs, and you should check them yourself before signing up.
6. The price data
The Bitcoin price on this Site comes from CoinGecko, is fetched by our server and is cached for up to five minutes. It may be out of date or unavailable, it is an indication rather than a tradeable quote, and you should not rely on it for any transaction.
7. Disclaimers
The Site is provided “as is”. While we aim to keep information accurate and current, we make no warranties as to its completeness or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bitcoin Panic is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the Site.
9. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version always applies and is published on this page.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
